Provides routing, firewall and VPN functionality to connect private, local-area networks (LANs) to intranets, extranets and the public Internet. It protects internal networked computers from unauthorized access (e.g. hacking) that could compromise information confidentiality, corrupt data or render critical IT systems unavailable (i.e. denial of service attack). Connecting branch offices, telecommuters and business travelers to centralized applications over the Internet is more cost-effective than deploying dedicated lines or utilizing long distance dial-up. MultiLink Gateway makes remote access over the Internet a viable option for businesses by providing a secure virtual private network (VPN) across the public Internet. Security is achieved through encryption of IP data traffic and authentication of communication endpoints.

A network appliance that improves the availability, scalability and performance of IP-based applications, including web sites, FTP servers, streaming audio/video services and email. MultiLink Director enables multiple application servers to be deployed in a cluster. It dynamically balances the TCP/IP/UDP data traffic flowing to and from these servers, to ensure that the workload is distributed and server utilization is uniform across the cluster.
