Solgenia is one of the first ISVs worldwide to sign an agreement with Microsoft to integrate Visual Studio Tools for Applications into its entire range of ERP solutions: the Solgenia Software Suite. The integration of Visual Studio Tools for Applications into Solgenia’s applications will allow users and developers to customize the user interface and business logic of all Solgenia solutions.

For example, Visual Basic .NET and Visual C# developers can more quickly and easily write code for Solgenia Software Suite’s middle tier and user interface components, tailoring the business logic to fit specific customer needs. IT departments benefit from a standard infrastructure, compatibility with Microsoft Visual Studio, and granular control over the customization experience. In addition, within this managed framework, end users without extensive programming experience can modify application components to fit business needs.

The ability to enable customers and partners to use Solgenia’s products not just as finished solutions but as a development platform to build vertical solutions has always been one of Solgenia’s main goals. Now, as one of the first in the world to offer integration with Visual Studio Tools for Applications, Solgenia deliver to developers the ability to customize each solution with the language they know and a familiar and productive IDE. Now they can deliver solutions that fit better with customer requirements without being scared of product versioning.

Visual Studio Tools for Applications will be used in conjunction with the customization framework already available in all Solgenia products. For example, with the 'Additions' system, the end user can customize document printouts and implement new functions. Visual Studio Tools for Applications gives Solgenia’s products extended application functionality and better integration with existing line of business applications. Support for the Microsoft .NET Framework means customizations are more secure, manageable, and reliable.

The agreement to license Visual Studio Tools for Applications allows Solgenia’s customers to take advantage of powerful Microsoft tools and offers developers and users access to highly innovative environments. Solgenia’s customization tools based on Visual Studio Tools for Applications will be available in March 2007.
